 About the Director and Staff

Bill Towler--Director of Operations

Bill Towler, a native of Farmington, has been the Director of the Civic Center since it's beginning in 1995. Bill graduated from Farmington High School, attended Mineral Area College and then graduated from Southeast Missouri State University after a two-year stint in the US Army. He went on to graduate school in Texas where he met his wife and began what would be a 15 year career with the YMCA in Texas, Florida and, finally, St. Louis.

Bill and his family-wife Barbara; daughter Kristen; and son Andy, returned to Farmington in 1994. Barbara is the music teacher at St. Paul Lutheran School and teaches private piano. Kristen and Andy both graduated from Farmington High School and are pursuing college degrees.

In addition to the Civic Center, Bill opened the Water Park in 2000 and the Centene Center in 2003.
